Location
On the dorsum of the foot, between the 2nd and 3rd toes, distal to the metatarsophalangeal joints
Needling technique
Depth: 0.3-0.5 cun (5-10 mm)
Direction: Perpendicular or oblique towards the ankle
Indications
Heat-type migraine, toothache, sore throat, epistaxis, facial swelling, constipation, fever, agitation
Contraindications
Avoid deep needling. Caution in patients with bleeding disorders.
