Location
Along the Small Intestine meridian pathway on the hand, arm, shoulder, neck, face
Needling technique
Depth: 0.5-1 cun (10-20 mm)
Direction: Perpendicular or oblique
Indications
Neck and shoulder pain, occipital headache, elbow and arm pain, tinnitus, hearing loss, facial disorders
Contraindications
Avoid deep needling on the face (SI-18, SI-19). Caution near the ear. Contraindicated in acute facial inflammation.
