Location
In the buttock, at the junction of the lateral 1/3 and medial 2/3 of the line connecting the greater trochanter to the sacral hiatus
Needling technique
Depth: 2-3 cun (40-60 mm)
Direction: Perpendicular, slightly medial
Indications
Sciatica, low back pain, hip pain, leg pain, weakness, paralysis of the lower limb, knee pain
Contraindications
Avoid in patients with bleeding disorders. Caution in pregnancy. May need deep insertion for effect.
