Meridian: Gallbladder Meridian

Location

Along the Gallbladder meridian pathway on the head, neck, trunk, leg, foot

Needling technique

Depth: 0.8-1.5 cun (15-30 mm)
Direction: Perpendicular or oblique

Indications

Headache, migraine, eye disorders, neck pain, rib pain, hip and leg pain, gallbladder disorders

Contraindications

GB-20: NEVER needle laterally or towards the eye - risk of entering brainstem. Medial direction only. Risk of pneumothorax for points on the lateral chest (GB-22 to GB-24). Avoid deep needling.
