Location
On the upper abdomen, 4 cun above the umbilicus, on the midline
Needling technique
Depth: 1-1.5 cun (20-30 mm)
Direction: Perpendicular
Indications
Epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting, acid reflux, bloating, poor appetite, diarrhea, fatigue, immune deficiency
Contraindications
Avoid deep needling in patients with gastric distension or abdominal aortic aneurysm. Caution in pregnancy.
