Middle of the Crease
Meridian: Bladder Meridian
Location
At the midpoint of the popliteal crease, between the tendons of the biceps femoris and semitendinosus muscles
Needling technique
Depth: 0.5-1 cun (10-20 mm)
Direction: Perpendicular or superficial bloodletting
Indications
Low back pain, sciatica, knee pain, leg cramps, heat stroke, acute abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea
Contraindications
Avoid deep needling near the popliteal artery. Use bloodletting with caution in patients with bleeding disorders.
