Meridian: Bladder Meridian
Location
In the upper back, 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the 2nd thoracic vertebra (T2)
Needling technique
Depth: 0.5-0.8 cun (10-16 mm)
Direction: 45° oblique towards the spine (medial) - DO NOT needle perpendicular!
Indications
Colds, cough, asthma, urticaria, allergic rhinitis, neck pain, stiffness
Contraindications
Risk of pneumothorax - do not needle deep. Shallow oblique needling only.
